The immediate question: fares

Reporting by Roxanne Thompson for NOW Grenada says the government and National Bus Association are close to agreement on a fare increase. The report says the amount, affected routes and starting date still need to be settled.

This is not a notice that new fares are already in force.

The longer-term plans

The report describes proposed improvements to the St George’s terminal in 2027 and work towards cashless payments. Other terminals and measures to reduce congestion also feature in the transport programme.

What commuters need next

Watch for a final fare announcement stating the routes, prices and effective date. The original report linked below separates the current discussions from plans that still require implementation.
