The investment

A September announcement reports that a commercial glass pulveriser has been commissioned at the Grenada Solid Waste Management Authority’s Queen’s Park headquarters. The Grenada Hotel and Tourism Association funded the EC$486,000 investment through its Tourism Enhancement Fund.

Why it matters

The equipment adds capacity to recover glass and divert recyclable material from the waste stream. It is a concrete example of tourism funding supporting infrastructure used beyond the visitor economy.

Before taking glass there

An equipment announcement is not a household collection schedule. This source does not establish public drop-off hours or which containers are accepted; confirm arrangements directly with the waste authority before making a trip.
